PLEASE NOTE : The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $4,598.00 per month to $6,458.00 per month.

This is a grant funded, full-time, temporary position through June 30, 2026 with the possibility of reappointment.
Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN) at Cal State East Bay is hiring a Community Counseling Program Coordinator. The Community Counseling Program Coordinator, under the direction of the Director(s) of the Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) and Executive Director at Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN), coordinates a comprehensive range of activities aimed at enhancing access to counseling services for children and families within the HPN framework. This role is pivotal in connecting HPN community members, local schools, and agencies to the CCC’s services, particularly focusing on organizing and systematizing mental health counseling responsiveness provided by School Counseling / Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and School Psychology / Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) trainees. The Coordinator will conduct on-campus presentations, initial screenings, and spearhead efforts in data collection and reporting to support U.S. Department of Education grant goals.
The Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the CCC, which includes organizing mental wellness workshops, coordinating counseling services at outreach events, and facilitating systematic training programs like STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting). Additionally, this position is responsible for data management, preparing analytical reports to evaluate service impact, and ensuring that all program activities align with grant requirements. This role demands a proactive approach in managing community relations, overseeing administrative tasks, and participating in advisory council meetings to continuously improve service delivery and client outcomes.
