Your Role : As aCustomer & Business Insights Expertwithin the Customer & Business Insights team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Life Science SLS EMEA Commercial organization. You will serve as the technical lead for data architecture and engineering solutions, directly supporting strategic commercial initiatives.You will translate complex business and analytical requirements into scalable data solutions, architect robust data models, and lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade reporting, analytics, and AI-driven platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with Commercial Excellence leadership, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver insights that enhance sales performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.This role demands both strategic vision and technical execution, requiring deep hands-on expertise in modern data platforms, architecture patterns, and analytics technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Modeling
  • Lead the end-to-end design of logical and physical data models to support advanced analytics, BI, and AI/ML use cases.
  • Define data standards, modeling conventions, and governance principles across enterprise systems.
  • Own the design of metadata management, data lineage, and quality frameworks for commercial data.
• Technical Solution Development
  • Architect and implement advanced data solutions using Tableau, Palantir Foundry, and big data platforms.
  • Develop reusable data pipelines and ETL workflows leveraging SQL, Python, PySpark, and KNIME.
  • Build and maintain high-performing data services that integrate data from Salesforce, SAP, and other ERP systems.
• Analytics & AI Integration
  • Design and implement predictive models and algorithms to forecast sales, optimize campaigns, and enhance customer segmentation.
  • Lead the integration and application of generative AI models for content automation, personalized engagement, and strategic planning.
  • Develop simulation frameworks and statistical analysis tools for scenario planning and hypothesis testing.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy Alignment
  • Act as a strategic partner to Commercial & Customer Excellence leaders, translating analytical needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Design enterprise-level dashboards and KPI scorecards aligned with commercial objectives and performance tracking.
  • Serve as technical advisor for cross-functional initiatives involving IT, Sales Ops, and Data Governance.
• Project & Performance Leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement of analytical platforms and self-service capabilities.
  • Lead or contribute to large-scale data initiatives and transformation programs.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and data excellence aligned with HIC values.

Who You Are :

• • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, with a strong focus on analytics platforms supporting commercial operations.
  • Expert in SQL (complex queries, optimization), Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn), PySpark, and R.
  • Experienced with BI tools and data visualization platforms such as Tableau (incl. Prep Builder), Power BI, and SAP BO.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Palantir Foundry, KNIME, and cloud-based data engineering workflows.
  • Proven experience working with large-scale data pipelines, data lakes, and structured/unstructured data.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities including Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, and VBA scripting.
• Soft Skills & Language
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication skills; able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required; additional European languages are a plus.
