Greenvolt Power is our segment dedicated to the Development & Construction of utility-scale solar and wind projects. We value local expertise and empower our partners, with a presence in more than 16 countries across Europe and North America.

Greenvolt is seeking a skilled Trading Analyst responsible for securing the route-to-market in the various markets where Greenvolt operates. The role involves developing and executing strategies to ensure the successful integration of renewable energy projects into these markets. The focus is on navigating regulatory frameworks, building partnerships with stakeholders such as grid operators and market agents, and ensuring compliance with market participation requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Develop and implement strategies for integrating renewable energy projects into electricity markets, balancing operational efficiency and profitability.
  2. Analyze market structures, regulatory frameworks, and pricing mechanisms to identify optimal market access options (e.g., Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), merchant models, or energy auctions).
Contracting and Market Participation
  1. Secure participation in the spot market (day-ahead, intraday, aFRR, mFRR, etc.) for predefined volumes of renewable assets.
  2. Negotiate and manage short-term contracts, derivatives, PPAs, and grid interconnection agreements, ensuring favorable terms.
  3. Facilitate project registration with transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution network operators (DNOs), electricity market operators, and other relevant authorities.
  4. Ensure projects comply with market rules, including renewable energy certification, grid codes, and participation in ancillary services markets.
Revenue Optimization
  1. Monitor and optimize revenue streams through participation in energy spot markets, capacity markets, and other mechanisms.
  2. Develop strategies for managing imbalance risk and maximizing returns from renewable energy generation.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  1. Analyze energy market trends, pricing forecasts, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.
  2. Prepare detailed reports on market performance, revenue, and compliance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with project development, engineering, and trading teams to ensure seamless market integration.
  4. Provide input on project design and financial models to align with market requirements and opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or related certifications in energy trading.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, focusing on market access, regulatory compliance, or business development.
  • Proven track record in navigating complex regulatory environments and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
