Position Overview :

Europe & SAM Senior Medium Voltage Electrical Engineer (SMVEE) is responsible for :

• Developing design proposals, specifications, product selection, drawings, calculations, and other data to evaluate feasibility, costs, and maintenance requirements.
• Providing design solutions that meet customer and site requirements while safeguarding the customer’s best interests during projects.
• Facilitating meetings and interviews with customers and sub-consultants.
• Handling various projects, including tendering support, customer execution projects, R&D projects, quick efforts, quality, and services support.
• Participate in project programming with the customer to understand and document requirements.
• Influence solution design to meet project goals.
• Understand local codes and ordinances.

Solutions Development :

• Provide design documents to support proposals and estimates.
• Identify major infrastructure equipment, bid specifications, space and site layout, systems diagrams, grounding, calculations, etc.
• Review major equipment quotes for technical compliance.
• Estimate costs for final design and construction administration.
• Review and approve sub-consultant proposals.
• Develop technical narratives and sequence of operations.

Design and Engineering :

• Perform code analysis and lead basis of design for projects.
• Support other engineering teams and site activities.

Construction Phase :

• Support RFI responses and factory support.
• Validate design and participate in construction meetings.
• Assist during construction with clarifications, changes, and value engineering.
• Provide as-built drawings from site verifications.

Secondary Functions :

• Travel to customer sites for issue resolution.
• Participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain professional knowledge through training and networking.
• Attend product training and develop as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Utilize social media and internal networks, work effectively in international environments, and demonstrate teamwork skills.

Qualifications :

• Good English and Spanish communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of Schneider Medium Voltage portfolio and safety standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools, REVIT & CAD.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MV Power Systems Design.
• Experience with Data Center design, simulation tools like ETAP or Caneco HT, and MV / LV coordination.
• Knowledge of Protective relays and LV power designs.
