Reporting directly to the E-Commerce Web Marketing, CRO & SEO Manager, the E-Commerce Copywriter & Content Strategist is responsible for creating digital content for our e-commerce website.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Draft, write, and manage all business-related writing materials, producing texts and content guidelines aligned with company register and brand guidelines for: website homepage, editorial landing pages, banners, informative pages, customer care pages, merchandising categories, and social media among others.
- Create, edit, and oversee copy across all touchpoints in American/British English and Italian, supervising translations in other languages regarding length, format, and register where possible.
- Develop both long and short-form content—from blog editorials to push notifications and AdWords ads.
- Handle the creation of media content across channels and campaigns (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Remarketing, Affiliation).
- Coordinate with external media agencies and partners to maximize investment, continuously improving ROI through content optimization.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns in collaboration with third parties based on content performance.
- Analyze competitors quantitatively and qualitatively through regular monitoring to generate new content ideas.
- Manage newsletter calendar, craft copy using best practices, and analyze data to increase open rates, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Assist in defining and setting up segmentation clusters via SFCC Marketing Cloud and verify newsletter layout for message consistency and language accuracy before scheduling.
- Create targeted and relevant copy based on customer demographics for organic and paid media.
- Collaborate with merchandising, content & design teams, omnichannel, and customer care to align copy with marketing strategies.
- Maintain a consistent tone and style across all channels suitable for target groups and brand identity.
- Review media agency reports to ensure campaigns are monitored and refreshed as needed.
- Test and verify campaigns, landing pages, and product pages for consistency with sourced media and channels.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and insights, maximizing ROI through tailored content.
- Apply SEO principles to website copies and meta tags.
- Support the Web Marketing team with qualitative analysis of campaigns, newsletters, and on-site content.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with experience in the fashion/lifestyle industry as a copywriter.
- Knowledge of SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics 360, Google Trends, SEMrush, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Proficiency in Office package, especially Excel.
- Basic knowledge of HTML.
- Preferably native English speaker (British or American). Additional languages are a plus.
- Cooperative, precise, and able to work under strict deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse groups and external departments.
