A leading insurance company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide our financial strategy and support our growth trajectory.

As a vital member of the leadership team, reporting directly to our Co-CEOs, you will play a key role in ensuring our company's long-term financial sustainability and scalability, aligning with our mission.

Ensure financial sustainability and scalability by leading financial strategy with a long-term perspective and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Leadership : Define and implement a global financial strategy aligned with growth objectives. Serve as a key advisor to the Co-CEOs and the Executive Board. Foster a data- and results-oriented culture to pursue growth while maintaining financial stability and sustainability.
  • Planning, Control & Reporting : Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Provide clear financial reporting to stakeholders. Oversee accounting, tax compliance, cash flow, and regulatory reporting.
  • Business Partnering & Scalability : Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and growth teams to guide strategic decisions based on financial impact. Assess new business opportunities and optimize cost structures, automate processes, and enhance financial management practices.
  • Financial Operations & Controls : Oversee settlement and reconciliation processes with insurance carriers, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage monthly financial reconciliations and partner settlements.
  • Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations. Develop risk management frameworks and uphold integrity and transparency across all finance functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in senior finance roles, preferably in scaleups, insurtechs, or digital-first companies.
  • Proven expertise in corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Analytical, proactive, and collaborative mindset with a global perspective.
  • Ability to lead through uncertainty and develop high-performing finance teams.
  • Schedule & Location

    Full-time, flexible hours (7.5 hours / day). 100% remote, with optional visits to our office in Barcelona. Candidates must be Spanish residents with legal work authorization in Spain.
