We're looking for a dynamic and strategic People Partner to join our team in Barcelona, supporting our vital Customer Support team. In this role, you'll be a key advisor to CS leadership and teams, providing daily guidance on employee relations, talent management, and performance development. You'll play a crucial role in driving engagement initiatives, facilitating conflict resolution, and ensuring HR processes are aligned with the unique needs of our Customer Support teams.

The People Team

As part of the global people team, you have a community of fellow People Partners, focused on building one of the best companies to work for in the world. What you’ll do :

  • Strategic Partnership : Serve as a trusted advisor to Customer Support leadership, aligning people strategies with business goals.
  • Employee Relations : Navigate complex employee situations with discretion and expertise, ensuring compliance with EU labor law and SumUp policies.
  • Talent Management & Performance Development : Partner with leadership to continuously define optimal team structures and performance management practices.
  • Engagement & Culture : Drive initiatives to enhance team engagement and foster a positive, inclusive culture within the high-volume contact center environment.
  • Change Management : Support the communication and implementation of strategic business changes, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Coaching and Development : Coach and develop the CS Leadership to drive engagement and reduce people issues.

You’ll be great for this role if :

  • Seasoned HR Professional : A proven track record of 4+ years as a People Partner or in a similar HR business partner capacity.
  • Expert in Talent and Employment Law : Demonstrable expertise in talent and performance management, coupled with a solid grasp of employment law across Europe.
  • Exceptional Communicator and Relationship Builder : Possesses outstanding people and communication skills, characterized by transparency and directness.
  • Skilled Coach and Mentor : Exhibit strong coaching abilities to guide and develop leadership.
