A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a Drivetrain Test Technician in Barcelona. The successful candidate will work on drive train testing activities, requiring advanced technical skills, a strong background in automotive systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field and a willingness to travel.
**Mission and main objectives**:
To perform drive train testing activities on bench and vehicle.
**Main tasks and responsibilities**:
- Preparation/assembly of parts/vehicles and testing facilities (rigs and benches).
- Selection, preparation, calibration, and installation of sensor devices in units and vehicles based on requirements (displacement, torque, load, speed, temperature, acceleration, strain/stress).
- Operating data loggers and acquisition systems (GSQA Ricardo, Yokogawa, Dewetron, Vector, DRV, V-BOX, CAEMAX,...)
- Conduct test operations: able to operate D/T Benches (FR1, FR2, Synchro, torsion, tooth pairing, slope bench, chassis dyno,...).
- Processing of test data and pre-analysis.
- To support parts failure analysis and countermeasure proposal.
- To support test plan trough estimation of test samples, jigs, spares or expendables for test.
**Additional Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Support department CAPEX plan for benches and instrumentation.
- Workshop management, 5S protocol and H&S; activities.
**Background and experience**:
- Minimum FPII (automotive) with 5 years of experience.
- High technical background required.
- Proven experience in drive train testing activities (5 years minimum)
- Drive train units and systems (ICE & EV technologies).
- Vehicle dynamic evaluations in proving ground and public road.
- Minimum Nissan driving license B1 (or equivalent).
- Good team worker with flexible working approach.
- Electricity and electronics knowledge (desired).
- Advanced level of Spanish & English.
- Willingness to travel.
