Job summary

Amaris Consulting, part of Mantu, is seeking a Disaster Recovery Engineer / Resilience Engineer to join our international team in Madrid. You will lead DR testing, resilience planning, and crisis management exercises across cloud and data center environments, with English fluency required.

You will coordinate backup and failover strategies, review architectures, and work with IT and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and robust incident response.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Disaster Recovery, resilience, or business continuity roles.
• Strong knowledge of DR, backup, failover and recovery strategies.
• Experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of data centers, virtualization, redundancy and continuity concepts.
• Crisis management exercises, incident response processes and resilience testing.
• Experience designing and executing DR tests and recovery scenarios.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Define and coordinate backup, recovery and failover plans across data center and cloud environments.
• Review infrastructure and cloud architectures to support DR requirements.
• Design and coordinate DR test scenarios with infra, cloud and security teams.
• Collect evidence, document results and propose continuous improvement actions.
• Organize and facilitate crisis management and simulation exercises.
• Work with IT and business stakeholders to validate incident response processes.
• Formalize lessons learned and action plans after resilience and crisis exercises.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Disaster Recovery and Operational Resilience.

English fluency is required as part of this role.

WHAT WOULD YOU NEED?

• 2+ years of experience as a Disaster Recovery Engineer, Resilience Engineer, or Business Continuity Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery, backup, failover, and recovery strategies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or GCP.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure architectures, virtual machines, redundancy, and business continuity concepts.
• Familiarity with crisis management exercises, incident response processes, and resilience testing.
• Experience designing and executing Disaster Recovery tests and recovery scenarios.
• Knowledge of Salesforce architecture, integrations, and DR constraints is a strong plus.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
