We partner with hotels of all sizes globally to help them achieve their commercial objectives—ranging from independent and boutique hotels to the largest chains. These chains have unique needs and often use diverse technological solutions. To further serve this segment, RateGain seeks an experienced Director focused on European markets. The ideal candidate will understand how European hotel chains operate and be familiar with their adopted technology solutions. The role requires acting as a trusted advisor, helping chains navigate the complex travel technology ecosystem to make informed decisions in distribution, business intelligence, marketing technologies, and beyond. This is an individual contributor role, requiring a self-starting, innovative mindset, with the ability to work remotely anywhere in Europe and travel within the EU as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a detailed business and go-to-market plan aligned with the priorities of European hotel chains and RateGain’s solutions.
  2. Establish, build, and maintain relationships with hotel chains across Europe, positioning RateGain as a preferred partner.
  3. Lead engagement efforts, generate interest, and drive adoption of our solutions, including commercial negotiations and closing contracts.
  4. Manage sales pipeline, forecast, and activity tracking, meeting or exceeding targets monthly and quarterly.
  5. Articulate the value of RateGain products and competitive advantages to European hotel chains.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams like Customer Success and Product Management to identify new opportunities, provide feedback, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Education & Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality technology sales targeting European hotel chains, especially in distribution and revenue management, with a proven track record of exceeding goals and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Knowledge:

  • Negotiating commercial deals and contracts.
  • Understanding hotel distribution technology, including connections with OTAs, GDSs, content, and rate intelligence and marketing solutions.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM is highly valued.

Skills:

  • Strong customer empathy and passion for revenue growth.
  • Influence management, persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
  • Analytical, process-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
