Job Description

For Organon, we are currently hiring a: Director Portfolio Communications - Women's Health

This position can be based in Oss or Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Heist-op-den-Berg (Belgium), Paris (France), Vienna (Austria), Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid (Spain), Cramlington or London (United Kingdom), Dublin (Ireland), Istanbul (Turkey), New Cairo (Egypt), Amman (Jordan), Beirut (Lebanon), Doha (Qatar), Kuwait (Kuwait), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), or Algiers (Algeria).

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Communications / Chief Communications Officer, you will lead the strategy and execution of external / integrated communications programs that promote Organon's Women's Health portfolio. You should be a strategic thinker and a thought partner, capable of developing and executing global communication plans while managing diverse internal and external stakeholders at mid-to-high levels.

You will collaborate closely with various functions across the organization, including Enterprise & Market Communications, R&D, Manufacturing & Supply, and Marketing to identify and leverage opportunities to tell Organon's innovation and growth story.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop strategic, high-impact communication programs to advance business objectives, emphasizing competitive differentiation (e.g., women's health), analytics, and the external environment.
  2. Share best practices and introduce new ideas to enhance the positioning of therapeutics and women's health.
  3. Coordinate with international communications partners and tier 1 & 2 markets to gather local business needs, secure buy-in, and manage budgets for effective program execution.
  4. Oversee tactical program elements, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery across all channels.
  5. Act as a communications counselor to franchise leadership, ensuring creative and contextually appropriate program development and execution.
  6. Lead data communications at medical congresses to differentiate Organon's portfolio and highlight pipeline developments.
  7. Represent Communications on global franchise and R&D teams, contributing proactively to business decisions.
  8. Manage issues affecting the business by anticipating and mitigating reputational risks.
  9. Drive agency performance and ensure optimal use of resources.
  10. Serve as an external spokesperson and shape conversations with stakeholders.
  11. Ensure programs adhere to budget and administrative processes, including compliance and review of external materials.
  12. Maintain communication with internal and external partners regarding project status, timelines, and strategic shifts.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare policy or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in regional/global PR, including digital and social media within a regulated environment.
  • Leadership experience in managing media, social media, and global communications for large organizations.
  • Technical skills in video production and web/social media content development.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic communication plans and provide tactical advice.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment and lead long-term strategic platforms.
  • Crisis management skills and the ability to handle short-term communication objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making ability, and effective communication in English.
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in US and global markets.
  • Agency experience.
