A premier executive search firm in life sciences is seeking a Head of Downstream Manufacturing to lead a growing team and ensure compliance with GMP regulations. The role involves driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and establishing a manufacturing function. Candidates must have significant experience in biologics manufacturing, particularly monoclonal antibodies, and possess strong team leadership skills.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in biologics manufacturing, particularly monoclonal antibodies.
• Experience managing biologics downstream processes in a start-up or scale-up setting.
• Proven people leadership and team development skills.
• Strong understanding of GMP compliance and regulatory standards.
• Competence with manufacturing metrics and data-driven decision making.
• University degree in chemistry, pharmacy, economics or equivalent.

Establish and lead a downstream manufacturing function from greenfield to commercial readiness.Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements while achieving operational excellence.Build and develop a high-performing, safety-first manufacturing team.What you will do :

Ensure compliance with GMP, HSE and all applicable pharma regulations and standards.Hire, onboard and develop a skilled manufacturing team focused on quality and performance.Drive process optimisation strategies to improve efficiency and maintain product consistency.Analyse production data and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities.Oversee inventory management to support uninterrupted, lean manufacturing operations.Introduce smart manufacturing technologies to enable digital process control and real-time decision making.Promote sustainable practices in manufacturing, including energy reduction and green chemistry.Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources to align with business goals.Translate organisational goals into actionable training and development plans for staff.What you will bring :
