Reporting to the Group Chief Finance Officer, the Finance R&D Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all financial activities related to research and development (R&D) and tax deductions. This role is critical for ensuring the company's financial stability, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth. The manager will ensure compliance with regulations, accuracy of financial information, and direct accounting operations. The role will have a dotted line to the Group Chief Commercial Officer and Finance Director Iberia.

The Finance R&D Manager is expected to exemplify integrity and high ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage R&D budgets, forecasts, and investment cases focusing on ROI and portfolio optimization. Manage income from contracts and products providing services to operational areas, and all related expenses.
2. Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks associated with R&D projects.
3. Tax Deductions: Identify and apply for R&D-related tax deductions to optimize the company's tax burden. Prepare and monitor procedures to monetize deductions.
4. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses of R&D projects.
5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with tax laws and regulations.
6. Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
7. Audit Follow-up: Interact with the group's accounting auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or similar preferred.
• Strong understanding of R&D project lifecycles, IP strategy, and technology readiness levels (TRLs) is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, especially regarding R&D deductions.
• Proficiency in financial management software, with strong financial modeling, forecasting, and evaluation skills.
• Leadership skills to lead and motivate the finance team.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with all organizational levels, including senior management and investors.
