Remote Opportunity in EMEA

The IQVIA Obesity Center of Excellence, a hub of Obesity clinical innovation, is seeking exceptional Board-Certified physicians to join as Medical Strategy Leads. This role focuses on expanding our Obesity and Metabolic portfolio and advancing clinical development in this dynamic area.

The Medical Strategy Lead is a subject matter expert with experience in clinical research and trials, championing weight loss trials across IQVIA. The role involves driving growth through scientific and clinical expertise, utilizing IQVIA data and resources to develop innovative, data-driven, and patient-centered solutions for cardiovascular trials. The Lead will provide senior clinical and scientific expertise, collaborating with indication-specific teams to develop integrated strategies for weight loss studies, and supporting early engagement in business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, evidence-based, and patient-centered strategies for Obesity trials, addressing specific client needs.
• Partner with Medical Strategy, Operations, Sales, and other teams to secure new business, including integrating weight loss trial elements into proposals.
• Provide scientific and clinical advice for proposal development, including protocol design, data analysis, and feasibility assessments.
• Support customer meetings, bid defenses, and strategic business development activities, including presentations at professional meetings.
• Maintain awareness of industry pipelines, scientific advancements, and the competitive landscape.
• Support due diligence research within the Metabolic landscape.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited school; specialization as an Endocrinologist or Cardiologist.
• At least 5 years of clinical research experience, including operational delivery or drug development.
• Robust knowledge of scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial aspects of metabolism.
• Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience with GCP, ICH guidelines, and clinical research regulatory requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and lead virtual teams.
• Proficiency in technology and research tools.
