Descripción del empleo

As the Director EH&S EMEA Iberia Africa and Middle East OU, you will be responsible for supporting Otis EMEA's environmental and safety compliance efforts. Your role involves partnering with Otis EHS Engineering and Field Operations to identify, anticipate, and assess hazards, design and implement EH&S policies and management systems, maintain regulatory compliance and training, and reduce incidents and losses.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement a governance program to monitor EHS compliance and risk management, including auditing Otis Field Locations.
  2. Develop and execute an Operating Unit level EHS management system and compliance programs to adhere to local, regional, national, and international standards.
  3. Lead collaborations with Otis Operations, Operating Unit leadership, and frontline supervision to support EH&S practices across EMEA.
  4. Participate in management review meetings, presenting on safety metrics and KPIs.
  5. Assess existing and emerging EHS laws and regulations, determining their impact and developing strategies and policies accordingly.
  6. Provide leadership support for regulatory activities, including reporting, inspections, and enforcement issues.
  7. Measure EHS performance metrics, evaluate trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Lead programs focused on compliance, incident and injury prevention, ESG, and other performance indicators.
  9. Facilitate management reviews and reporting on EHS performance with the EMEA EHS VP.
  10. Support learning and development initiatives to foster a culture of EHS excellence.
  11. Collaborate with regional leaders and other functions on EHS resources and projects.
  12. Travel to Operating Unit locations as needed, approximately 50-75% of the time.
Qualifications for Success:
  1. Industry experience in operational EHS or field capacity.
  2. Knowledge of global EHS legal and regulatory requirements, technical expertise, and management systems.
  3. Strategic and tactical leadership in regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and environmental management.
  4. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  5. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach.
  6. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with senior management and groups of employees.
  7. Leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
