Job summary

Suntory Global Spirits is seeking a Director of Data Engineering to architect and lead a global data integration and analytics program. You will set strategy, define reference architectures, and drive scalable pipelines and data products across the organization.

You will manage the data engineering chapter, partner with Data Product Management, Governance and Security, and ensure reliable delivery and value realization through observed data quality and speed.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience leading enterprise data engineering in a global, complex organization.
• Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing engineering teams and leaders, including distributed internal teams and strategic partners.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise data engineering chapter, including engineers and ETL developers; set objectives and capability plans.
• Develop multi-year data engineering strategy aligned to priority roadmaps and reference architecture.
• Partner with product managers and business owners to shape requirements and sequence delivery around outcomes.
• Establish engineering metrics, operating rhythms and costs; drive reuse and automation across teams.
• Ensure security, governance and compliance by design in data pipelines and products.
