At its core, LocalStack provides a high-fidelity emulator and local cloud development platform. Imagine developing cloud applications and data pipelines entirely on your local machine within a lightweight cloud sandbox, running in Docker!

We are sustainably growing our globally distributed team across sectors. LocalStack is headquartered in Zurich / Switzerland, with a main engineering office in Vienna / Austria and remote team members from the US, FR, UK, CA, ES, and many more countries.

This is the right opportunity for a person with 3-5 years in a product marketing role as a leader of the team, experience in open source / infrastructure / security / databases or related sectors, strong background in working on existing as well as new products and maximizing the ROI on marketing budget.

Responsibilities:

  1. Scale and build out our product marketing team (including devrel, content marketing, events, sales enablement, etc.)
  2. Create a scalable PLG motion to maximize overall revenue, leveraging continued self-serve growth while seamlessly handing off high-value opportunities to sales when appropriate
  3. Elevate enterprise trust and credibility: increase visibility, image, and recognition of LocalStack as a brand among mid-market and enterprise segments
  4. Maximize efforts of our Sales team by driving optimal enterprise sales messaging, positioning, and materials
  5. Create the PMM strategy for new product launches
  6. Drive bottom-up and top-down motions to maximize conversions to paid users
  7. Develop messaging, market approach, and positioning for LocalStack, including existing and new products, tailored to different personas
  8. Create, track, and drive core KPIs for the team
  9. Optimize ROI for a conservative marketing budget
  10. Expand existing marketing partnerships and create new ones (including blog posts, conferences, speaking opportunities, etc.)

Experience required:

  1. Experience in a similar role, preferably with direct experience in our domain
  2. Data-driven leadership with systematic tracking setup experience
  3. Ability to adapt to new domains or target personas
  4. Strategic and growth mindset
  5. Empathy and customer-centric approach
  6. Active participation in social media, industry events, and relevant communities

For US candidates, the salary range is $220,000 - 250,000 per year plus equity.
