Scopely is looking for an Outsource Associate Art Director to join our Monopoly Go! team in Sevilla on a hybrid basis.

Monopoly GO! is our new casual game and a key franchise that has just become one of Scopely’s largest games enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and evaluate potential outsourcing partners or freelance artists based on project needs and budget.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with art vendors and freelancers.
  • When needed, work with AOS producer to negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with terms and deadlines.
  • Project Management :
  • Work closely with the art producer to manage the art requests, including timelines, art styles, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate the flow of information and materials between internal teams and external artists.
  • Strategize with production to improve process / pipeline.
  • Team Management :
  • Manage a team of artists covering 2D, 3D, and Animation.
  • Work closely with AD to help restructure the team if needed.
  • Quality Control :
  • Set quality standards and establish benchmarks for external submissions.
  • Review and approve artworks, providing constructive feedback and guidance to vendors to meet the project's artistic vision.
  • Ensure consistency and cohesiveness across all outsourced artworks.
  • Budgeting and Planning :
  • Work with the AOS producer to plan and forecast outsourcing needs based on project phases and milestones.
  • Collaboration and Communication :
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal creative leads and external artists.
  • Organize regular review sessions and update meetings to ensure alignment with the project goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all outsourcing-related inquiries and negotiations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in art leadership role
  • Great visual understanding of a game in casual whimsical art style
  • Professional Experience : Proven experience in art production or outsource management
  • Technical Skills : Familiarity with industry standard software such as Photoshop, Maya (or other 3D software)
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of providing clear creative direction and feedback.
  • Organizational Skills : Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
  • Problem-Solving : Effective at troubleshooting and solving issues related to art production and vendor relationships.

  • Experience in working with an IP
  • Knowledge in working with Unity
