We are seeking a Digitalization and PLSCADD Expert for our Digital Twins Service Line, spread between Madrid and Switzerland. The candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing a comprehensive set of Digital Twin and BIM models for powerlines in Switzerland. These models will be connected to operational data to help operators better plan maintenance activities. This role requires technical expertise in LiDAR data processing, powerline modelling in PLSCADD, and a deep understanding of engineering principles to ensure model accuracy and functionality.

What you will do :

1. Process and analyze LiDAR point cloud data to model powerlines with high precision.
2. Generate PLSCADD models from LiDAR data, ensuring alignment with design and regulatory standards.
3. Coordinate with engineers and designers to optimize modelling workflows using PLSCADD and other relevant software.
4. Export and manage models in formats such as PLSCADD, IFC, and GIS-compatible outputs.
5. Integrate structural and electrical attributes into powerline models for a holistic digital representation.
6. Ensure models comply with utility standards and grid operator requirements.
7. Support automation of LiDAR data processing workflows to increase efficiency.
8. Conduct model-based analyses for load calculations, clearances, and vegetation encroachments.

What you bring & who you are :

1. Background in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering.
2. At least 2 years of experience in digitalizing existing powerlines.
3. Several years of experience with PLSCADD, TOWER, POLE, and their applications in powerline design.
4. Understanding of LiDAR data processing, including classification, filtering, and conversion for powerline use.
5. Knowledge of open BIM data standards such as IFC and GIS formats.
6. Familiarity with BIM methodologies and working within CDE environments.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
9. Knowledge of BIM modelling software like Civil 3D and Revit is a plus.

You will join Axpo's innovative Digital Twins Service Line, working in a hybrid setup across Spain and Switzerland. Together, we are building next-generation digital models to support safe and efficient powerline operations across the Swiss grid.
