A growing digital products firm is seeking a DevOps specialist to enhance platform operations and ensure stability. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and microservice architectures. You will optimize AWS costs, maintain cloud setups, and work in a dynamic environment that fosters learning and collaboration. Proficiency in English, Spanish, or German is preferred.

Formación

• Sound knowledge of Kubernetes in AWS and Scaleway.

Are you a passionate DevOps professional with a love for Kubernetes and Terraform? Do you have experience with medium and large SaaS microservice architectures? Are you interested in running a platform that is stable, efficient, and most importantly, automated, so you never have to work late or be disturbed from your sleep?

At coara, we build companies and develop digital products. We're looking for a DevOps specialist to bolster our team and ensure our established projects run 100% stably and efficiently.

Tasks

• Ensure and improve platform operations, stability, and performance
• Maintain automated Kubernetes setup using Terraform
• Optimize horizontal and vertical autoscaling with Terraform in AWS or Scaleway cloud
• Build and enhance monitoring and alerts in Grafana and Kibana (CPU, Memory, Disk usage, Kafka Lag, Service Availability, Service Latency, etc.)
• Monitor and improve latencies in a high-performance environment
• Monitor and configure KrakenD API Gateway
• Keep disaster recovery plans up to date and perform dry runs
• Maintain current maintenance plans and documentation
• Monitor and optimize resource usage and latencies in a high-performance environment
• Optimize AWS costs
• Assist backend team in code optimization (Java and NestJS/NodeJS)

Requirements

You should have sound knowledge of:

• Kubernetes (in AWS and Scaleway)
• Microservice architecture with Kafka as the event engine
• Terraform and Helm
• MongoDB and Postgres
• Redis
• ELK Monitoring Stack
• CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and Bitbucket

Bonus skills:

• Java Spring Framework
• NestJS
• Kafka and other queuing systems like Bull or NATS

Our team communicates in English, Spanish, and German, so proficiency in one or two of these languages is preferred.

We're based in Estonia and Mallorca but also work remotely.

We operate two Kubernetes clouds in AWS and Scaleway with several hundred pods and dozens of databases.

We're a small, young team, which can be challenging but also motivating and rewarding. We don't operate like a corporate environment.
