Descripción del empleo

Being responsible for the entire lifecycle management of Ericsson's NVFI solution hosting virtual EPC.

Optimize the solution for efficient operations, including defining enhancements, developing, testing, and implementing them.

Operate the solution by monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and coordinating the implementation of tasks within affected technical teams and vendors.

Manage incidents by identifying issues, implementing measures to mitigate customer impact, and restoring system stability. This includes willingness for on-call duty services.

Handle problem management by requesting vendor support according to defined SLA and support processes, providing statistics for KPIs, and reviewing SLA/KPI reports.

Plan and prepare change management activities, including testing, requesting approvals, and implementing changes, with flexibility to work during maintenance windows or night shifts depending on severity.

Define and plan major release upgrades, including content, deliverables, responsible owners (RACI), and required effort and timelines.

Apply and improve testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting procedures to maintain high performance, reliability, and compliance of network functions. Maintain documentation of best practices and procedures.

Develop acceptance test cases for functional and non-functional requirements, and coordinate their execution and review.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize end-to-end connectivity, address network challenges, and improve VNF deployment processes.

Support complex projects across development, QA, and project planning, and assist in implementing new mobile core software releases.

Develop strategies for leveraging automated monitoring and change methods, including VNF deployments with VNFM.

Establish disaster recovery plans to ensure system resilience and quick recovery from backups.

Work closely with operations to streamline processes, enhance system performance, and apply innovative technologies.

Implement security solutions, monitor reports, and apply patches as needed.

Manage hardware repair and return processes, coordinate hardware exchanges, and plan VM migrations.

Qualifications :
  • Strong knowledge of operating and monitoring compute hardware and Linux LCM (Ubuntu and Suse).
  • Skilled in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting IPv4/IPv6 networks and protocols such as TCP, UDP, BGP, BFD, using tools like Wireshark.
  • Experience with troubleshooting in L2 switching networks, ideally with Arista and Juniper Junos.
  • Familiarity with ETSI MANO architecture, VNFM procedures, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.
  • Basic understanding of packet core network components, interfaces, protocols, and onboarding VNF.
  • Experience documenting complex technical requirements.
  • Experience with both traditional and agile collaboration methods.
