Role Overview

As a critical member of the engineering team, you'll support the infrastructure for engineering, data science, and bioinformatics teams. You'll collaborate across teams in a testing environment to help shape the product. We value engineers with a no-nonsense, no-drama approach to solving complex problems who can help guide technology decisions balancing cutting-edge solutions with maintainability, scalability, cost, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with multiple teams (create repositories, Jenkins scripts, etc.)
• Improve infrastructure processes or reduce costs
• Monitor servers and manage onboarding / offboarding processes
• Maintain hardware and software inventories
• Implement and monitor security initiatives and overall security (information, servers, users, etc.)

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS)
• Experience with application containerization and deploying container-based solutions
• Proficiency in Python and GraphQL; experience with PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with automated cloud deployments using Ansible and Jenkins (CI / CD)
• Design of scalable, maintainable, reliable, and high-performance systems
• Applied DevOps best practices, including TDD and continuous integration
• Understanding of secure DevOps practices and always-on infrastructure
• Proactive, adaptable learner with excellent communication skills
