What will you be doing?
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll enable our engineering teams to deliver reliable applications at high velocity. You’ll provision, configure, and improve infrastructure in Azure Cloud, ensuring uptime, security, and performance. Your key responsibilities include :
- Foster collaboration and share knowledge with team members.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for smooth operations.
- Ensure transparency by keeping ticket statuses updated.
- Take ownership of application environments, proactively resolving security or availability issues.
Infrastructure & Monitoring
- Design, deploy, and support infrastructure for both development and production environments, adhering to best practices for availability, reliability, and security.
- Implement code-first infrastructure deployments to ensure idempotent and predictable change operations.
- Follow established change management procedures for all production infrastructure modifications.
- Develop actionable alerts for critical infrastructure and ensure adherence to incident response processes during outages.
- Collaborate with teams to monitor and optimize applications, balancing reliability and development velocity.
Code Delivery & Automation
- Collaborate with development teams to implement efficient and effective solutions for code delivery and deployment processes.
- Support the creation and optimization of workflows across all development stages, from prototyping to production deployment.
- Continuously improve code delivery processes by simplifying and automating development activities.
What skills & competencies should you have?
- Task Management : Ability to break down tasks into structured deliverables.
- Infrastructure as Code : Experience with Terraform and Pull Request workflows.
- OS Configuration : Hands-on experience with Ansible and Packer.
- CI / CD Pipelines : Ability to create and optimize CI / CD workflows.
- Cloud Services : Experience with a major cloud provider, networking, and RBAC.
- Database Management : Proficiency in MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Windows Server : Practical experience in administering and maintaining Windows Server environments.
- Containerization : Practical skills with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitoring & Logging : Expertise in using Open-Source Monitoring and Logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Beats) to collect telemetry, create actionable alerts, and ensure system reliability.
- API & Load Balancing : Ability to work with proxies for load balancing and API management, such as HAProxy, Nginx, or Envoy, with experience implementing and optimizing these solutions.
Remote-First Position
Cloudmore has hubs in Sweden and Northern Ireland, with our main engineering hub in Estonia. Most of our engineering team works remotely, and you’ll be fully supported from day one.
