As a key member of the engineering team, you'll support the infrastructure for engineering, data science, and bioinformatics teams. You'll collaborate with multiple teams in a testing environment to help shape the product. Our environment is designed to keep you focused, without endless meetings or status reports. You are a world-class engineer with a straightforward, no-drama approach to solving complex problems. You will help guide technology decisions for development infrastructure, balancing cutting-edge and proven solutions while considering maintainability, scalability, cost, and innovation.

Location: Spain (remote)

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing AWS infrastructure
  • Collaborating with multiple teams (creating repositories, Jenkins scripts, etc.)
  • Assessing and improving existing infrastructure, processes, or cost efficiency
  • Monitoring servers and systems
  • Handling onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Keeping hardware and software inventory up to date
  • Implementing security initiatives and monitoring overall security (information, servers, users, among others)

Job competencies & personal attributes:

  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS) and containerization
  • Skilled in designing, deploying, and orchestrating container-based solutions
  • Proficient in Python and GraphQL; experienced with PostgreSQL
  • Automated cloud deployments using tools like Ansible and Jenkins (CI/CD)
  • Designed scalable, maintainable systems focusing on reliability and performance
  • Applied DevOps best practices, including TDD and continuous integration
  • Solid understanding of secure DevOps practices and always-on infrastructure
  • Fast learner with a proactive, adaptable attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
