Springer Nature is seeking a Development Editor in Madrid, operating within the Publishing Content Development team. You will manage content development from initial author brief to publication, ensuring quality and alignment with the publishing vision, and collaborating with multiple teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role involves liaising with commissioning editors, authors and internal teams to maintain market relevance, schedule, and budget while supporting a range of ELT/TEFL

Formación

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Formal ELT / TEFL qualification required.
• Demonstrable ELT / EFL teaching experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare author briefs for specific projects based on market needs.
• Identify potential authors and contributors using editorial judgement.
• Understand budget and contract terms for external contributors and create contracts.
• Provide constructive feedback to authors and editors to align with the brief.
• Communicate effectively with contributors with a customer-focused approach.
• Alert project teams to content development issues and help resolve them.
