Job summary

CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services is seeking a LIMS Engineer to collaborate with system owners and maintain LabWare LIMS within the SDLC framework. You will build databases, interfaces, and reports using LIMS Basic, Smalltalk, Postgres, SQL, Crystal Reports, and related tools.

You will also develop middleware interfaces between CTI LIMS and instrumentation, investigate errors, support IT best practices, follow SOPs, participate in system validation, and track work in DevOps systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years industry experience in related field.
• Experience with programming languages such as LIMS Basic, Smalltalk, Postgres, Remisol, SQL, Crystal Reports and pgAdmin.

Responsibilities

• Work with system owners to develop and maintain LabWare LIMS as a usable system within the SDLC framework.
• Develop, test, and maintain LIMS databases, user interfaces, and internal/external reports using LIMS Basic, Smalltalk, Postgres, SQL, Crystal Reports, and related languages and tools.
• Develop, test, and maintain middleware interfaces among the CTI LIMS system and instrumentation in all CTI laboratory locations.
• Utilize LIMS internal and external utilities to investigate, debug, and correct individual, procedural, and systemic errors or faults.
• Work with and support IT staff to create and implement best practices for processes and systems.
• Follow applicable SOPs and maintain appropriate project documentation.
• Participate in system validation activities as needed.
• Perform, track, and manage related project work as assigned in DevOps and other work tracking systems.
• Identify areas for improvement and provide detailed recommendations to IT leadership.
• Adhere to requirements of 21 CFR Part 11, CAP, and CLIA where applicable.
