A leading provider of marine energy services is seeking an IT Support Specialist for its Gibraltar office. You will be responsible for providing top-tier desktop and remote support while ensuring compliance with IT policies. The ideal candidate should have extensive IT support experience, excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Formación

  • 2-4 years experience in IT desktop support.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required.
  • Driving license and own transport ideal.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Based in the Gibraltar office, the key responsibilities will be to provide first and second line desktop & remote IT support to all levels of users within the group. This role would also suit someone with experience of building and deploying workstations and have around 2-4 years’ experience in IT desktop support.

Ideally, the candidate would be able to speak Spanish, hold a driving license, and own their transport.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide first and second line desktop & remote IT support to all users within the group.
  • Take ownership of complex Incident and Problem cases and document resolutions in helpdesk software.
  • Log all helpdesk calls.
  • Plan and carry out changes in response to Projects, Work orders, and Service requests.
  • Support Telephony systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Build servers and workstations as required, testing patch and version releases.
  • Comply with IT policies and procedural controls.
  • Liaise with external companies and suppliers to resolve issues or implement changes as directed by the IT Manager.
  • Support off-site and maritime operations onboard vessels in the Gibraltar area, including occasional travel, evening, and weekend work.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish; flexible and adaptable attitude; ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changing priorities; effective time management and organizational skills; ability to work cooperatively and contribute to team performance.

Desirable: Experience with Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Office 365, Mobile Device Management, Citrix, Windows Desktops, and a good understanding of cybersecurity practices.
