About your mission! - Make an impact

Hi! My name is Stanislav and I head the Desktop team at TradingView. The team is developing TradingView Desktop — a home for TradingView products on Windows, macOS and Linux, making the user experience more native and fluent than browser. The application is used by ~1.5 million users monthly.

Our technology stack:

• Developer tools: TypeScript, Electron.
• CI/CD, bug tracking: Jira, Gitlab, Jenkins
• Target platforms: Windows, macOS, Ubuntu.
  
  

How You’ll Drive Success

• Perform a wide range of tests on desktop applications, including functional, usability, user interface, and localization testing.
• Analyze and reproduce bugs, providing detailed documentation and clear reproduction steps to assist developers in resolving issues.
• Investigate and troubleshoot user-reported issues, ensuring timely resolutions and providing feedback to improve the user experience.
• Test and review requirements and technical specifications for new features and functionalities, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Monitor and maintain the team's backlog, ensuring tasks are properly prioritized.
• Create and manage an internal knowledge base, test documentation to enhance team productivity.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and streamlined processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the team.
  
  

What Makes You The Perfect Fit

• Experience in QA testing for desktop applications (MacOS / Windows). Experience with desktop Linux distributions is a plus.
• Strong understanding of different types of testing, including functional, usability, localization, and user interface testing.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools and test management systems.
• Strong ability to write clear, detailed, and actionable bug reports and documentation.
• Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and identify root causes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools.
• Knowledge of various mobile development frameworks and platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, offering support and sharing knowledge to help achieve common goals.
  
  

It’ll also be an advantage if you have experience in:

• Experience in testing Electron-based applications
• Knowledge of Python or TypeScript
• Experience in frameworks for test automation (Selenium/Playwright)
• Finance experience or knowledge of Trading
• Knowledge of TradingView We also love users who become teammates!

This is a hybrid role based in our Málaga office, located in the heart of the city at the prestigious Muelle Uno port.
