Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking a Design trainee based in METT Barcelona to assist the Europe, North Africa & Turkey design team. You will participate in feasibility studies, concept development, and the opening of venues, supporting in mood boards, layouts, and brand guidelines.

Ideal candidates are final-year Interior Design/Architecture students with Spanish and strong English skills, available for a six-month internship and able to coordinate with university internship agreements.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in final year or just graduated in Interior Design, Architecture or similar.
• Possibility to establish an internship agreement with your University.
• Availability to start in Sep/Oct 2024; 40h/week internship (Mon-Fri).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare mood boards and presentations.
• Create test fits and preliminary layouts.
• Review shop drawings and fit-out projects.
• Support in selecting FF&E and finishing materials.
• Compile technical standards and Brand Design Guidelines.
• Maintain documentary control.

About the Role

We are looking for a Design trainee to be based in METT Barcelona who will work closely with the Design team for Europe, North Africa & Turkey supporting in the different phases of the Hotel and Food & Beverage design process, from feasibility and concept studies to opening.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Mood Boards and general presentations
• Test Fits and preliminary layouts
• Review of shop drawings and Fit-Out projects
• Support in the selection of FF&E and finishing materials
• Compilation of technical standards and preparation of Brand Design Guidelines
• Documentary control

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the last course (or just graduated) of Interior Design, Architecture or similar.
• Possibility to establish an internship agreement with your University.
• Preferably, be available to start in September/October 2024.
• 40h/week internship from Monday to Friday
• Spanish speaker with high level of English.
• 6 months internship

Requirements

• 40h/week plus university agreement is a must
• Good command of AutoCAD, Photoshop, In Design and knowledge of 3D modelling software is an asset.
• Able to manage multiple projects at a time and ability to adapt easily in fast-paced environment with deadlines.
