We’re expanding and looking for a Design Manager to join our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team in Málaga, Spain. As our new Design Manager, you will become part of our Global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team.

Our global MCF team provides multidisciplinary consultancy services to data center clients, including colocation data centers, internet service providers, and telecom companies. The team is diverse, with expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering, construction, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. This collective knowledge is used to develop integrated designs for data centers. You will be part of a dedicated, passionate team recognized worldwide as a leader in data center design and engineering.

Your role

As a Design Manager, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing scope of work, design budget, and contract documents for each project;
• Following and updating the design delivery schedule and distributing workload within the team;
• Coordinating and optimizing design with multidisciplinary teams and external parties;
• Leading and challenging design solutions and changes;
• Creating and communicating innovative ideas and designs to clients and team.

What you bring

• A Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent;
• Over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centers or relevant sectors;
• Familiarity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (e.g., BIM360, CDE);
• Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a solid understanding of clients’ operational business;
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues and clients, fluent in English (German is a plus).
