Empresaconfidencial is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Madrid-based engineering team in the renewable energy sector. You will provide drafting and design support for utility-scale solar PV, wind and BESS projects.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings, layouts, diagrams and as-built documentation; developing site layouts, routing plans and CAD details; and coordinating interfaces across disciplines.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of professional experience in renewable energy generation.
• Experience working on utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Strong experience preparing technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Excellent working knowledge of CAD software, including Civil 3D or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and update technical drawings, layouts and engineering documentation for utility-scale solar PV, wind and BESS.
• Develop general arrangements, site layouts, access roads and trench/cable routing plans.
• Prepare and maintain drawing packages including single-line diagrams and cross-sections.
• Translate criteria, survey data and supplier docs into accurate drawings and models.
• Identify project constraints in design, including land boundaries and grid connection.
• Support optimization of plant configuration considering CAPEX, OPEX, safety and O&M.
• Coordinate drawing interfaces across solar PV, wind, BESS, substations, grid, civil and electrical systems.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control, templates and CAD standards.
• Prepare drawings for permitting, land agreements, grid connection, procurement and handover.
• Provide drafting support to multidisciplinary teams and implement approved design changes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and workflows.

We are currently looking for a Design Engineer to join the Engineering team of a leading international company in the renewable energy sector.

The successful candidate will provide drafting and design support for utility-scale renewable energy projects, working across different stages of the project lifecycle and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

What will you help with?

• Prepare and update technical drawings, layouts and basic engineering documentation for utility-scale solar PV, wind and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Develop general arrangements, site and equipment layouts, access roads, platforms, trench and cable routing plans, drainage concepts, grading plans and other civil and electrical drawings.
• Prepare and maintain project drawing packages, including single-line diagrams, block diagrams, typical details, cross-sections and as-built documentation.
• Translate engineering criteria, survey data, topographical and geotechnical information, equipment specifications and supplier documentation into accurate drawings and models.
• Identify and reflect project constraints in the design, including land boundaries, easements, environmental restrictions, hydrology, slopes, roads, existing services and grid connection infrastructure.
• Support the optimisation of plant configuration and land use, considering constructability, energy production, CAPEX, OPEX, safety and O&M requirements.
• Coordinate drawing interfaces across solar PV, wind, BESS, substations, grid connection, civil works, electrical systems, SCADA and auxiliary systems.
• Support the preparation and review of basic and detailed engineering deliverables produced internally and by external engineering companies, contractors, OEMs and suppliers.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control, templates and CAD standards, ensuring accuracy and traceability of technical documentation.
• Prepare drawings and technical information for permitting, land agreements, grid connection, procurement, tendering, construction and handover.
• Provide drafting and design support to multidisciplinary internal teams, incorporating approved design changes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards, design criteria, workflows and digital tools.

Who you are

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Structural or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in renewable energy generation.
• Experience working on utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Strong experience preparing technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Excellent working knowledge of CAD software, including Civil 3D or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
