In the site of Huelva, for a new plant, we are looking for a DCS Supervisor responsible for loop and logic checks, and start-up. The DCS is supplied by Emerson.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the commissioning manager.
- Supervises loop checks, logic checks, and all activities related to DCS and SIS for the entire plant.
- Works on site approximately 70% of the time, continuously monitoring and controlling its workers.
- Ensures work compliance with pre-commissioning/commissioning ITP and E&C global standards.
- Ensures quality standards are met as per E&C global standards.
- Uses project documentation and specifications to supervise activities.
- Prepares for upcoming work by studying project drawings, clarifying questions with the project PE, and verifying readiness of critical materials and resources.
- Prioritizes E&I scope in alignment with the overall commissioning schedule.
- Coordinates timely delivery of free issue items with the Material Manager.
- Anticipates consumable needs and reports shortages.
- Ensures AS BUILT drawings are updated on site.
- Monitors vendor activities, especially DCS energization, and reviews reports before submission.
- Reports safety hazards or non-conformities weekly by safety notes to the HSE manager and halts work if safety or quality issues are found.
- Performs site inspections as per ITP and standards.
- Updates quality documentation and manages NCRs until closure.
- Compiles weekly quality files on Google Drive and updates ITPs.
- Validates weekly progress feedback to the commissioning manager.
- Leads toolbox meetings with subcontractors, supported by the HSE manager.
- Assists vendors and supervisors with tests and commissioning activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as an EIA Supervisor.
- Proficient in reading piping documents (P&ID, isometrics, support books).
- Skilled in reading E&I documents (logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, instrumentation hookup).
- Experience in start-up of ASU loops and functional checks.
- Knowledge of DCS modifications and commissioning of rotating equipment.
- Experience in pre-commissioning activities (P&ID checks, blowings, flushings, inerting).
- Electrical supervision knowledge (LV/HV).
