Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic Product Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing robust, scalable, and forward-thinking solutions as part of our exciting product roadmap.

You will collaborate closely with our Consulting, Support, and Customer Success teams to design and deliver high-quality software that meets the evolving needs of our growing international customer base. This role reports directly to our Head of Product Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, performant, and secure applications for HCM integration.
  • Collaborate across departments to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Deliver enhancements, new features, and expansions to new modules according to our product roadmap.
Qualifications, Technical Skills, and Competencies
  • Expert Java development skills, including Spring/Spring Boot framework, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with ETL tooling.
  • Proficiency in REST APIs, web services, file distribution, encryption, and LDAP.
  • Solid understanding of database technologies (including Oracle DB, SQL).
  • Proficient in CI/CD, Agile, SCRUM, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience with source control, build, and deployment tools (e.G., Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Liquibase, JIRA); experience with cloud architectures, microservices, and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM, ERP, or OCI is a plus.
  • Ability to ensure code quality using unit testing frameworks (JUnit/Mockito/TestNG) and code coverage tools like JaCoCo.
  • Experience with static code analysis tools like OWASP/SonarQube.
  • Peer review and performance tuning experience (e.G., VisualVM).
  • Experience managing technical teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse, international, and remote team environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team and apply it to product development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex topics to both technical and functional colleagues.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work according to a UK/EU work schedule.
  • Team player who enjoys mentoring others to help them succeed.
