• meaningful and challenging tasks every day : together with your colleagues you are responsible for operating, maintaining and extending our highly available, heterogeneous platform
• ownership of the conception, technical design, as well as installation, configuration and clustering of our PostgreSQL database systems
• challenging tasks in keeping our databases performance on a very high level through monitoring, profiling, database analyses and optimization of database queries and schemes
• a role of consultant for your colleagues in software development and a partner for our database architect
• automation of various tasks using Ansible and Puppet, ownership of the whole stack from software up to server hardware
• encouragement to curating knowledge about our systems, because like that you enable the support team to have your back while you jump on your next challenge
• 80% private and 20% public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)

What You Should Bring To The Table ...

• readiness to become part of our team which is together securing the stable environment for our running digital platforms with a special focus on databases
• offer at least 4 years of experience in database administration in PostgreSQL, but as well RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, ...)
• knowledge of Ansible and Puppet and an experience in operating heterogeneous server farms
• you are familiar with containers, cloud and tests for your own code
• you enjoy challenging tasks, because you see opportunities of improvement rather than unsolvable problems
• you are a Linuxer, however, if necessary you are able to fundamentally administrate a Windows system
• as we offer hybrid as well as fully remote possibility, you are self driven, well organized and internally motivated to fulfill your tasks as well as connect with your team
