Job summary

Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is seeking data managers to contribute to data services design and deployment and to support researchers with BSC data management capabilities.

These roles involve building data catalogs, implementing automated data procedures, and collaborating across European data management groups to ensure data protection and interoperability. English and Spanish communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in data-related fields; PhD or research experience positively considered.
• Experience designing tools for data management and data publication.
• Automation of data management processes and strong databases knowledge.
• Understanding of Open Science, FAIR data principles and their practical use.
• Good command of English and Spanish; experience in scientific research environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to build and maintain BSC data catalogs and data services governance.
• Design automatic procedures for data validity, sharing, protection and security.
• Advise researchers on BSC data management services.
• Collaborate with European and international data management groups.
• Support training of staff and users on Data Management topics.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and interoperability standards.
