Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist, you will generate ML/AI models for predictive analysis for an energy sector customer. You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Visualization profiles to achieve project and client goals in a dynamic environment.

The opportunity

As a member of our team in GDS office in Malaga, Spain, you’ll have the chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the latest technologies and approaches. You’ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solutions and participate in digital transformation.

Your key responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will work on designing, selecting, and evaluating ML/AI models for predictive analysis. You will also collaborate with development teams (business analysts, product owners, developers) to deliver high-quality solutions for our customers.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics, or similar.
• Experience in statistics and ML/AI modeling: regression and classification problems, time series, decision trees.
• Experience with R or Python.
• Knowledge of distributed computation: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark.
• Spanish communication skills.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Knowledge of visualization techniques: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
• English skills are a plus.
