The Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit of EURECAT is looking for a highly motivated Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer to help us pave the way in digitalization and development of new technologies for creating a smarter and more sustainable future.

RESPONSABILITIES

As a valued member of our team, your role encompasses several critical dimensions:

1. Design and implement solutions based on mathematical algorithms and classical ML: supervised and unsupervised models, regression models, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, optimization, recommendation systems, time series, semi-supervised learning, etc.
2. Design and implement solutions based on Deep Learning techniques like Recurrent Neural Networks and Autoencoders.
3. Research innovative techniques and methods in the field of artificial intelligence to stay up-to-date with new trends.
4. Practical application and experimentation of state-of-the-art techniques in projects and challenges to be developed.
5. Global Impact: Collaborate on scientific publications, sharing your insights with the wider research community.

Our group is specialized in applied research and development on ML and AI solutions. The Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit of Eurecat develops innovative solutions (algorithms, methods, platforms) based on a combination of artificial intelligence and knowledge management technologies, especially for the industrial, energy, and sustainability sectors. We have over 12 years of experience pushing the adoption of state-of-the-art AI and ML solutions for our private customers as well as for relevant European research projects!

Requirements

1. Passion for Data Science and ML.
2. Basic studies: Physics, Math, Energy engineering, Agronomy, Forestry engineering.
3. Superior studies: MSc or equivalent in ML, AI, Computer Vision, or a related field.
4. Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, with a track record of applying AI techniques.
5. Proficiency in Python and knowledge of basic libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn, SciPy.
6. Knowledge of mathematical optimization and its implementation in Python with libraries like Pyomo or PuLP.
7. Valuable knowledge in some deep learning libraries like Keras, PyTorch, and Tensorflow.
8. Open-minded and multidisciplinary: Eager to learn new domains.
9. Dynamic communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey complex ideas and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
10. A readiness to travel when needed, embracing opportunities to connect with clients, partners, and collaborators worldwide.
