More than 600 IT enthusiasts work on 30+ projects across our Labs in Dublin, Madrid, Wroclaw, and Portugal, making travel unique for our customers. The Role:

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team addressing complex, unresolved challenges with significant potential business impact across the Ryanair network. You will be responsible for your work from ideation and problem definition to implementation, developing solutions for high-impact commercial projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.).
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to develop unique solutions for unique problems.
  • Professional experience working with large datasets.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with analytical packages (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL.
  • Solid statistical background with the ability to substantiate findings through rigorous statistical analysis.
  • Adherence to good coding practices (OOP, code review, unit testing, PEP8 guidelines, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, CI/CD).
  • Broad knowledge of Machine Learning topics such as clustering, forecasting, classification, regression, and anomaly detection.
  • Experience in designing experiments to measure model impact against company goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver insights, visualize data, and explain models to target audiences.
  • Experience implementing real-world projects in a commercial context.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in pricing strategies.
  • Experience with real-time data projects.
  • Knowledge of PySpark.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Databricks, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience in causal inference.
