Formación

  • 3+ years of experience in a PMO or Jira Coordination role.

Hays is collaborating with the leading company in the pharmaceutical sector , TOP 10 pharma with more than 146 affiliates around the world and 47 employees, of which 1,600 are located in Spain. They create innovative medicines for people and animals, adding value through innovation for all three business areas : human pharmaceuticals, animal health, and contract manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals. Now they are in the expansion phase and are developing the animal area. Our client is forming a technological hub that will serve the entire group internationally. This hub is located in San Cugat del Vallès.

We are looking for a Data Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling agility and operational excellence by ensuring full visibility, alignment, and efficiency across all initiatives. You'll act as the right-hand person to the team lead, supporting seamless coordination, tracking, and continuous improvement of our project management practices.

What would your duties be?

  • Serve as the central PMO point of contact for the data engineering team, ensuring timely updates, clear communication, and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Maintain and continuously update Jira with accurate task status, priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Proactively follow up with team members to ensure timely progress updates, identify blockers early, and support issue resolution.
  • Create, manage, and refine dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track progress, delivery metrics, and team performance.
  • Leverage advanced JQL to build custom filters, automation rules, and reports that drive actionable insights and reduce manual overhead.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate Jira workflows, contributing to process maturity and team efficiency.
  • Coordinate daily syncs and planning sessions, preparing agendas, capturing notes, and tracking action items to closure.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in Confluence, ensuring knowledge is shared, current, and accessible to all stakeholders.

Which are the requirements for this position?

  • 3+ years of experience working in a PMO or Jira Coordination role, preferably within software development or data engineering environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Atlassian tools , particularly Jira and Confluence, including hands-on experience with JQL, dashboards, filters, and automation rules.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, stay organized, and proactively maintain systems without direct supervision.
  • Experience supporting Agile teams in Scrum or Kanban frameworks; prior Scrum Master or PMO experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle management, task prioritization, and timeline tracking in complex, fast-moving environments.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
