Job summary

Trimble is seeking a Data Product Engineer in Analytics to shape the next evolution of our central Data & Analytics team in Spain. You will build durable data products, scalable pipelines, and governed semantic models that serve BI, APIs, and AI consumers.

You will own end-to-end delivery, collaborate across product, platform, and security, and apply strong data/analytics engineering and product judgment to balance value, security, and cost.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, or an adjacent field.
• Mastery of data engineering and analytics engineering, including data modeling and ELT design, pipeline performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Practical experience with cloud data services (GCP BigQuery) and dbt; strong DevOps (Git, code review, CI/CD).
• Experience designing workflows for AI coding agents and validating generated designs, code, tests, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build & scale data and analytics engineering; design and improve data pipelines, models, and reusable data products for BI, internal apps, and AI consumers.
• Provide leadership and establish standards for architecture, modeling, orchestration, testing, data contracts, documentation, ownership, access control, and lifecycle management.
• Shape and operate a governed semantic layer with consistent metrics across reporting, apps, APIs, and AI-enabled services.
• Improve operations with data quality controls, observability, monitoring, CI/CD, and cost management.
