Job summary

Revolut Ltd. is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel focused on privacy, data protection, and AI.

You will counsel on cross-border data transfers,GDPR compliance and product safety across EU/UK markets, reporting to the Head of Legal (Data Protection & AI) in London. The role supports rapid product growth with robust regulatory protections, and offers flexible remote or hybrid arrangements for European-based attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in privacy, data protection, and AI matters.
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials.
• Experience advising on privacy, data protection, and AI in the United Kingdom and/or European Union.
• Experience providing detailed product counselling advice on innovative, customer-facing products.
• Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset.
• Confidence making decisions where there’s ambiguity or incomplete information.
• A demonstrated track record of providing privacy and data protection legal advice.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Advising the business on privacy, data protection, and AI legal issues around structuring and marketing of products.
• Ensuring privacy, data protection, and AI considerations are core to the review process when launching features.
• Drafting and negotiating contractual data protection and AI clauses with third parties and Revolut entities.
• Advising on complex international data transfers and GDPR alignment.
• Assisting with data breaches, including drafting breach notifications to authorities.
• Drafting and maintaining customer-facing privacy notices, explainers, and cookie policies.
• Liaising with global Legal Counsels on privacy, data protection, and AI matters across jurisdictions.
• Supporting Data Subject Rights teams to respond to complex requests requiring legal review.
• Engaging regulators in multiple countries.
• Keeping on top of and advising on legal, regulatory, and industry developments.
• Leading by example while performing hands-on work to manage complex legal tasks quickly.
