Job Summary

The Global Data Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the Havas data management platforms.

He/She ensures data operations delivery and excellent customer service.

He/She works on the global integration of the team, acting as a bridge between different areas located globally, and ensuring knowledge flow across all areas.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Data Solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Data operations management

• Ensure the data platforms and processes are functioning well, including data collection, integration, and processing.
• Monitor and manage data quality processes and data integrations.
• Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of data exchange and data solution processes.
• Be responsible for the quality and security of data.
• Ensure quality of service; oversee user support and help desk.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist in technical improvements, cascading information to development teams.
• Document data operations and monitoring solutions in clear, concise guides.

Team management

• Coach, guide, and support the team of data operations specialists and developers.
• Motivate and create a positive work environment.
• Ensure knowledge transfer flows both ways; establish protocols to guarantee this.
• Develop team effectiveness.

Education & Languages

Education

Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

Previous Experience

At least 3 years of professional experience in data management.

Language Skills

• English: Professional proficiency (must)
• Spanish: Professional proficiency (must)

Additional Skills and Knowledge

• Broad knowledge of Data Platforms in the media space, at infrastructure and operational levels.
• Strong command of ad-serving systems, DSPs, and data management solutions.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with big data platforms.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Knowledge of programming languages: Java, Perl, Python, Shell scripting, Unix.
• Familiarity with new-generation data platforms like MPP databases, Hadoop, or Spark is a plus.
• Experience with IT procedures, data quality requirements, and agile/SCRUM environments.
• Robust knowledge of cloud computing (Google Cloud, AWS).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with IT project management software.
• Ability to write technical documentation and operational how-tos.
