The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring data quality and integrating processes while fostering a positive working environment within the team. This role requires a degree in computer science or related field, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Job Summary

The Global Data Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the Havas data management platforms.

He/She ensures effective data operations delivery and provides excellent customer service.

He/She works on the global integration of the team, acting as a bridge between different areas located worldwide, and ensuring knowledge flow across all areas.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Data Solutions.

Main Responsibilities

1. Data operations management

Ensure the proper functioning of data platforms and processes, including data collection, integration, and processing.

• Monitor and manage data quality processes and data integrations.
• Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of all data exchange and data solution processes.
• Ensure data quality and security.
• Maintain service quality; oversee user support and help desk functions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist in technical improvements, cascading information to development teams.
• Document data operations and monitoring solutions in clear, concise guides.

1. Team management

Coach, guide, and support the team of data operations specialists and developers.

• Motivate team members and foster a positive working environment.
• Ensure knowledge transfer flows both ways; establish protocols to guarantee this.
• Develop team effectiveness.

Education & Languages

Education

Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

Previous Experience

At least 3 years of professional experience in data management.

Language Skills

• Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Knowledge and Skills

• Broad knowledge of Data Platforms in the media space, at infrastructure and operational levels.
• Strong command of ad-serving systems, DSPs, and data management solutions.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in data technology/management on big data platforms.
• Strong SQL, PL/SQL skills.
• Skills in Java, Perl, Python, Shell scripting, Unix.
• Knowledge of new-generation data platforms such as MPP databases, Hadoop, or Spark is a plus.
• Experience working within IT procedures, data quality requirements, and agile/SCRUM environments.
• Robust knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud and AWS.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with IT project management software.
• Ability to write technical documentation and operational how-tos.
