Data Operations, Platform & User Support

Job Summary

The Global Data Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the Havas data management platforms.

He/She ensures the delivery of data operations and provides excellent customer service.

He/She works on the global integration of the team, acting as a bridge between different areas located worldwide, and ensures the flow of knowledge across all areas.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Data Solutions.

Main Responsibilities

1. Data operations management
   • Ensure the data platforms and processes operate effectively, including data collection, integration, and processing.
   • Monitor and manage data quality processes and data integrations.
   • Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of data exchange and data solution processes.
   • Maintain the quality and security of data.
   • Ensure high-quality service; oversee user support and help desk functions.
   • Troubleshoot technical issues and support technical improvements, collaborating with development teams.
   • Document data operations and monitoring solutions in clear, concise guides.
2. Team management
   • Coach, guide, and support the team of data operations specialists and developers.
   • Motivate team members and foster a positive work environment.
   • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and establish protocols to facilitate this.
   • Enhance team effectiveness.

Education & Languages

Education

Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

Previous Experience

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data management.

Language Skills

Fluent in English and Spanish (professional proficiency required).

Technical Skills

• Broad knowledge of Data Platforms in the media space, including infrastructure and operational aspects.
• Strong command of ad-serving systems, DSPs, and data management solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience with big data platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL.
• Skills in Java, Perl, Python, Shell scripting, Unix.
• Knowledge of modern data platforms such as MPP databases, Hadoop, or Spark is a plus.
• Experience with IT procedures, data quality standards, and agile/SCRUM environments.
• Robust knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud and AWS.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with IT project management software.
• Ability to write technical documentation and operational how-tos.
