Job Summary

The Global Data Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the Havas data management platforms.

He / She ensures effective data operations delivery and provides excellent customer service.

He / She works on the global integration of the team, acting as a bridge between different areas worldwide and ensuring knowledge flow across all areas.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Data Solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Data operations management

Ensure the data platforms and processes function well, including data collection, integration, and processing.

• Monitor and manage data quality processes and data integrations.
• Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of all data exchange and data solution processes.
• Maintain the quality and security of data.
• Ensure high service quality; be responsible for user support and help desk.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist in technical improvements, cascading information to development teams.
• Document data operations and monitoring solutions in clear, concise guides.

Team management

• Coach, guide, and support the team of data operations specialists and developers.
• Motivate and foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure knowledge transfer flows both ways; establish protocols to guarantee this.
• Develop team effectiveness.

Education & Languages

Education

Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

Previous Experience

At least 3 years of professional experience in data management.

Language Skills

English and Spanish: Professional proficiency is required.

• Broad knowledge of Data Platforms in the media space, both infrastructure (basic) and operational (expert).
• Strong command of ad-serving systems, DSPs, and data management solutions.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in data technology/management on a big data platform.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL.
• Skills in one or more programming languages: Java, Perl, Python, Shell scripting in Unix.
• Knowledge of new generation data platforms such as MPP databases, Hadoop, or Spark is a plus.
• Experience working within IT procedures, data quality requirements, and agile/SCRUM environments.
• Robust knowledge of cloud computing (Google Cloud, AWS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using IT project management software.
• Experience in writing technical documentation and operational how-tos.
