We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Modeller to join our dynamic Data Engineering & Cloud team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, database design, and data architecture. As a Data Modeller, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data models that ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance across various systems and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling : Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet the needs of business processes and technical requirements.
  • Database Design : Work closely with database administrators, data engineers, and software developers to implement data models into physical databases.
  • Data Integration : Collaborate with data engineers and ETL developers to ensure seamless data integration from various sources into the data warehouse.
  • Data Architecture : Develop and maintain data architecture standards, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability across data models.
  • Metadata Management : Document data models and maintain metadata repositories to ensure data governance and easy data discovery.
  • Data Quality : Work with data governance teams to implement data quality rules and ensure high data accuracy and consistency.
  • Performance Tuning : Optimize database performance by refining data models, indexing strategies, and query performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Engage with business stakeholders, analysts, and other technical teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions that meet business needs.
  • Technology Evaluation : Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in data modeling, database management, and data architecture to recommend best practices and innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture.
  • Proven experience with Data Vault and Kimball modeling.
  • Data Vault certification.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions, data lakes, and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and a strong communicator with both independent and team-working skills.

The following are a plus :

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
  • Experience in a consulting environment.
