About the profile

We are seeking for an enthusiast Data Mesh Architect capable of leading technical initiatives related with delivering Data-as-a-Product at scale and closely collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to design robust and efficient architectures. In this key position, you will be a technical leader in the data field, supporting Business Stakeholders and Data Engineering teams in navigating the growing data landscape and designing data products.

Additionally, you will contribute your experience in defining Data Fabric / Mesh platforms and participate in strategic decisions to drive growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: You will lead key initiatives as a Data Mesh Architect, leading technical teams and closely collaborating with stakeholders to design data products matching best with the needs of Life Science consumers.
• You will be responsible for scaling-out Federated Computational Governance processes.
• You will apply your knowledge and experience to plan, design and implement data-product focused platforms and solutions, including a data governance layer and data product design, for different applications, operations, and analytics.
• You will actively participate in strategic decision-making to drive growth and efficiency.
• You will develop and communicate a medium to long-term vision for data architecture, anticipating technological trends and proposing initiatives in data management.

Requirements - Must have:

• More than 5 years of experience as a Data Architect and / or leading Data solutions and teams.
• Perfect understanding of Data Mesh methodology.
• Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles
• Practical experience with implementing Data Fabric solutions, designing data products and establishing federated data governance.
• Ability to lead technical teams and work effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to translate functional needs into requirements and technical proposals.
• Strategic vision for the development of Data Architectures and Platforms.
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Understanding of landing, staging area, data cleansing, data profiling, data security and data architecture concepts (DWH, Data/Delta Lake, Lakehouse)
• Data Modeling skills and knowledge of modeling tools and concepts such as Dimensional or Data Vault Modelling.
• Experience doing analytics and using machine learning algorithms.
• Ability to work in an agile development environment (SCRUM, Kanban) and familiar with SoS and / or SAFe.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices

Requirements - Nice to have

• Experience with Life Science business domain
• Experience in Azure/AWS/Google services for Data Ingestion and Transformation such as ADF/Glue/Data Fusion.
• Extensive experience in Databricks.
• Experience with Graph databases, TripleStores and/or LPG.
• Experience using SPARQL/Cypher/Gremlin.
• Experience with data lake ADLSv2/S3/GCS
• Experience with GenAI and RAG
• Experience with Ontologies: RDF/OWL
• Familiarity with GxP.

English –C1. High proficiency in English communication with both technical and business profiles.
