Formación

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Manager to lead the management and optimization of our data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting for a rapidly scaling Payment Orchestration company. Operating for over four years with a growing presence in the USA and European markets, we rely heavily on data-driven decision-making to enhance our services, optimize revenue, and provide value to merchants. The Data Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining data accuracy, security, and accessibility while driving insights that support our growth trajectory.

Specializing in revenue optimization, we offer card processing and alternative payment methods enhanced by smart routing, fraud prevention, and an intuitive dashboard. Backed by a team of payment and fraud experts, our all-in-one platform is designed to maximize revenue, reduce costs, and improve the payment experience—all through a single API integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the long-term vision for how data can be leveraged across the business to drive growth, innovation, and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data architectures and platforms (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, cloud storage).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and implementation optimization.
  • Set up a clear efficient criteria in order to scale up your team considering tools and personnel.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collected from various internal and external sources, including processing data among others.
  • Lead the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and statistical models to provide real-time visibility into operational performance.
  • Leads and supports a team ensuring optimal results by creating a proactive and systematic monitoring, analysis and follow-up on merchant data, performance and operations.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements, online payments regulations and business reporting standards to ensure continuous improvement in data analysis and operational control.
  • In partnership with area leadership, recommend and execute against best practice incentive to ensure optimal control of the responsibilities of the entire team.
  • Lead your team, acting as team leader and ensuring compliance with agreed objectives and timelines. Take initiative to anticipate complications that may arise and make appropriate decisions based on feedback received and knowledge of the team.
  • Promote and transmit the team's core values, ensuring that excellence is always sought both in terms of communication and technique, improving current processes and defining new ones to optimize results by being a leader in the workplace.

Requirements

  • You have a minimum of 7 years experience leading teams within data & implementation environments.
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
  • Previous experience and knowledge within the online payments industry is highly appreciated.
  • You are able to utilize and understand multiple sources of data to drive expected return on chasing and identify trends and actions to mitigate negatively trending KPIs.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence software (Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc), statistical & coding packages (SPSS, Python, SQL, SAS etc) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) is required.
  • Well-rounded background to balance the line between tech and business is highly recommended.
  • The ability to speak and write fluently in English is required. A good understanding of Spanish is a plus.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate confidently at C-levels.
  • Attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills and ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results.
  • Experience with integration projects within a large global company working in professional services, payments or general technology.
  • A proven track record of helping to drive change, using data to make informed decisions on setting up tools and procedures.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an effective alignment with business and clients' needs.
  • A deep understanding of the different connections for receiving files (SFTP, webhooks, APIs, etc.) and their application to the implementation of payment methods.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Spanish is a plus!
