What you will enjoy doing

• As a data engineer, you will focus on building data pipelines and data lakehouses to best support the needs of our Data Science and Data Analytics teams, as well as our internal business partners.
• You will combine an understanding of business processes and related data with your extraordinary capability in designing and developing targeted and reusable data models and lakehouses.
• Furthermore, you will play an important role in improving the overall data architecture and platform strategy.
• Supporting the establishment and introduction of data governance and lineage principles within the wider Linde organization will be part of the role.

What makes you great

• You possess very strong skills in programming and data engineering (SQL / Python / R), which you combine with a very good understanding of data modeling and data management processes, as well as experience in creating data lakehouses or similar concepts.
• Furthermore, you have a good understanding of platform concepts and system infrastructure, along with experience in gathering and understanding business requirements and turning them into data models.
• You combine interest and motivation to continuously learn and develop with excellent spoken and written skills in English.
• A willingness to travel to collaborate with the wider team and business.
