Formación

  • At least 2 years of professional Python development in data environments.

At HEMAV, we are an AgriTech StartUp founded in 2012, working passionately on Data Science in the agrifood industry with the purpose of generating more food with less environmental impact.

We use a unique approach based on Artificial Intelligence, satellite technology, and other data sources (drone, meteo, soil, etc.). Users leverage their decision-making systems on information and knowledge generated on a field-by-field basis, with customized per-user models.

The HEMAV family comprises around 40 team members with offices in Spain, Brazil, Peru, and the USA. We have around 50 regional partners across more than 17 countries in Europe, America, and Africa. Over 5,000 users access our platform, which covers 6 million hectares.

Our software, LAYERS, generates key yield forecasting data and analytics, impacting crop management, yield estimation, quality assessment, and climate risk evaluation. It helps clients improve treatment efficiency and decision-making in the agribusiness value chain, with the slogan “Reshaping the future increasing land efficiency”.

The LAYERS Product Team consists of 13 members across four squads : DevOps, BackEnd, UX / UI, and Data Intelligence, working in three to four-week sprints with regular demos.

The platform includes web and mobile apps and APIs, providing analytical dashboards to monitor crops and optimize decisions.

Your Mission :

Play a key role in developing software, models, and data infrastructure, collaborating with data scientists, agronomists, and engineers to implement impactful models and solutions. Focus on improving the robustness and scalability of LAYERS.

Specific Tasks :

  • Design and implement data-related developments for LAYERS, enhancing value, scalability, and robustness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop crop-specific solutions.
  • Maintain and evolve the system following coding standards.
  • Support clients and troubleshoot defects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and stakeholder support.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deploy tools that maximize value for users.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies like planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Act as a liaison with internal stakeholders for development-related issues.

Evaluation :

  • Based on team goals following OKRs.
  • Aligned with overall company objectives.

Location : Within ±3 hours of BCN (Spain) time. Remote work is supported, with office access in BCN.

Requirements : Technical Skills :

  • At least 2 years of professional Python development in data environments.
  • Experience with Docker, AWS (Glue, Athena, S3, Step Functions).
  • Nice to have : MLOps (DVC), MLFlow, Terraform, NoSQL (DynamoDB), spatio-temporal data, time series, GraphQL / SQL, CI / CD, unit testing.

Soft Skills :

  • Team player with agile experience.
  • Result and quality-oriented, autonomous, eager to challenge and learn.
